About
The Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, MAPS, is committed to supporting current and future underrepresented minority pre-health professions, addressing the needs of the underserved at UCSD and its surrounding communities and increasing the number of academically excellent, culturally competent, and socially conscious pre-healthcare professionals.
MAPS is a student run organization at UCSD that aims to break down the barrier to careers in medicine that are often perceived by minority students. We offer guidance and opportunities to volunteer as well as a community of like-minded individuals that supports each other through the entire path to medicine. MAPS has a close connection to UCSD's medical students within the Student National Medical Association, SNMA, who support the organization by providing mentorship and other opportunities to engage with medical school faculty.
